Dollars and Sense is an online publication (“economic news and analysis, reports on economic justice activism“) that I usually check daily. Barry Deutsch, is a cartoonist who lives in Portland, Oregon, has his own web site, Alas! A Blog (amptoons.com), and has a cartoon that “appears in every issue of D&S.”
There has been the claim that the U.S. has suddenly moved beyond racism simply because Barack Obama was elected president, which I find just simply ludicrous; if it were that easy. This cartoon by Mr. Deutsch is especially timely given some of the topics at a couple of my regular stops on my daily blog route, specifically Jack & Jill Politics and Womanist Musings.
