Human Rights Celebration in January

Here’s the press release from BSU. There’s much more information than was offered in the Idaho Statesman. Giovanni is scheduled to speak on the 24th of January with Mankiller on the 28th.

The Idaho Statesman this afternoon reported the keynote speaker for the annual Martin Martin Luther King Jr. – Human Rights Celebration at Boise State University.

Wilma Mankiller – former chief of the Cherokee nation.

In addition, a poet will be speaking as well – Nikki Giovanni. I attended a lecture and reading Giovanni gave at the Cleveland Public library a few years back. Got a bit heated towards the white folks in general; it wasn’t intolerable – there. Here?

I’m putting in for time off tomorrow.
