Provence, France

I kid you not, this building could pass for something I saw on the  highway driving up to Ketchum or any of the other abandoned buildings up in the mountains of Idaho.

  1. The difference being that the cottage in France was probably built before the Americas were even discovered. My mom studied in France and her rental accommodations were built in the mid-15th century. Thank god someone upgraded the plumbing since then!

  2. No doubt, SBT. When living in Augsburg, Germany I lived just over a block from the old city wall built by the Romans. There was a canal just this side of the wall and along that canal was this guard tower built in 1454.

Hopefully, you can see it here.
