Allah Akubar

It’s being reported (said) that Major Nidal Malik Hasan yelled ‘Allah Akubar’ when he began shooting.

Gimme a fucking break. I find no excuse at all for what he did. However creating bullshit stories to add to the hero worship of those who responded appropriately to Major Hasan’s murder spree isn’t necessary.

Not to mention shit like this:

TEXAS – Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas earlier this week, was linked with a radical imam who was a “spiritual adviser” to three of the hijackers who attacked America on September 11, 2001.

Radical Imam Anwar al-Awlaki and Hasan attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt.

Of course, there are no links – nothing to ‘back up’ what’s being thrown out. Just say anything apparently . . . but you just knew it’d get back to 9/11.

The Austin Statesman has some picture galleries and I found this comment from a woman insightful.

Army spouse Kris Starr waits outside the Clear Creek gate (in background) at Fort Hood  on Thursday Nov. 5, 2009, after a mass shooting. She was waiting with older soldiers to be let back on post to go home.   Starr’s husband, Spc. Josh Starr, is currently deployed in Iraq. Of the mass shooting, she said, “I expected it someday. I’m not shocked. We’re not invincible, and our soldiers need help without stigma.”

There’s more at the Austin Statesman site with this telling statement:
