Why are Pharmacists, Pharmacists?

Sometime in December of 2008, Bush’s HHS Secretary Michael Leavitt issued a ‘rule’ that would allow certain medical practitioners and service providers to decline performing, referring or paying for “abortion or any other health care practice that violates a religious belief or moral conviction” under those rules issued by Mr. Leavitt.

Message to the House Judiciary Committee

[H/T Alternate Brain]

We call on the the House Judiciary Committee to cite Rove with contempt for failing to comply with a Congressional subpoena.  Since Rove regards the law with such contempt, it’s high time the law and Congress hold him in contempt as well.  We demand the HJC let Rove know he can’t decide which subpoenas he obeys and which he ignores.

Brave New Films has a site dedicated to petitioning the House Judiciary Committee to do something about Karl Rove’s deliberate scorning failure to appear before Congress.  The petition, ‘Send Karl Rove to Jail’ is here.

The former YearlyKos has morphed into Netroots Nation and they’re meeting over the weekend in Austin.  Marcy Wheeler, the ‘expert’ on Karl Rove who blogs at Firedoglake and The Next Hurrah, has a couple of links explaining some things about Karl Rove on the ‘Send Karl Rove to Jail’ site.   Marcy was also one of the first bloggers to be interviewed on the premier of ‘Meet the Bloggers‘ where the mini-panel of bloggers discussed arresting Karl Rove using – maybe – a group citizen’s arrest.
