My Peeps Have Spoken

I’m with Gordon on this over Hillary. And, Gordon is a fan of Hillary’s.

I’m getting pretty disgusted with her behavior as of late, especially over the past week. And, I don’t any Obama-ites bombarding me with shit how their man can do everything so much better; I don’t care. If I wanted Obama, you’d be reading all kinds of stuff on him; as it is, you can hop on over to Red State Rebels. There’s plenty to keep you occupied.

Jolly Roger, he’s not so much a fan of Hillary’s and he’d like to, ‘What about that ‘experience, Hill?’ Traveling to a number of foreign countries doesn’t qualify one for president. If that were the case, dumb-shit-Dubya wouldn’t be where he is now – AND, I could qualify. Sure it was while in uniform for the U.S. Army as a medic, but traveling is traveling, Hillary.

And Chris over at ‘From The Left’ refers to Hillary as ‘The Borg Queen” – oooOoooo – he is not a fan. He’s also a smart-ass, of the finest sort I might add.

The Borg Queen keeps referring to her “thirty-five years of experience” although it isn’t clear what props she gets for being First Lady — a ceremonial position and not an elected job.

I guess just being in the vicinity when important decisions are being made qualifies the Borg Queen for the presidency? So then, using Hillary’s (il)logic, the White House staff: gardeners, housekeepers, chefs and security, are equally prepared to run the country?

Well, yeah – Chris! Haven’t you seen those ads for Holiday Inn Express?

Courting John Edwards

1. Some time ago The Medical Quack had a story to which many folks I know could relate. The story was originally in the LA Times in a column from Steve Lopez. The page has since disappeared but I found the initial story again.

2. Now comes this editorial in the NYT, entitled, ‘A Ripoff by Heath Insurers’ with this inquiry:

“Have health insurers been systematically cheating patients and doctors of fair reimbursement for medical services? ”

In other words, is the phrase “reasonable and customary” unfair?

What do the two have in common? And does John Edwards meeting with Obama yesterday, and Clinton a few weeks ago, have a role in either story?

It is when you have a ‘new economic message‘ for voters,

“for hairdressers in Wisconsin, postal workers in Ohio and autoworkers across the United States who are struggling financially. . . . . Clinton is courting working-class voters with a new message of economic populism similar to that of John Edwards.

Both Democratic presidential hopefuls are wooing Edwards’ followers touting the changes they’ll bring to lessen the burden on the middle and working classes.

New Home for Kvatch

One of my unruly blogging buddies, Kvatch, has a new home; I see Station Agent is there as well.  Well, Kvatch has a ‘dream ticket’  for the upcoming presidential election.  There’s a certain candidate, he wants to win the ReThuglican nomination for reasons some of us may understand.  Yes, it is unusual – but humor him, just humor him.

I want to see 12-step programs for neo-cons.

Hi. My name’s Paul Wolfowitz, and I used to flog the idea of preemptive war.

– Hi Paul”.

I want every Republican who ever used the term ‘gay agenda’ to occupy a special float in the next San Francisco Pride Day Parade. In short, I want ………

Go read, it’s a surprise.

Today’s FISA Vote

Update – According to Marcy Wheeler at ‘Empty Wheel’ – Harry Reid thanked Christy Hardin Smith at firedoglake and McJoan from ‘Daily Kos’ for their “work” on FISA.

I’m at a schmoozy event at the Senate today–Harry Reid gave an opening speech focusing on the areas where progressive loud mouths have really helped out the Senate.

He spoke for a bit about FISA–repeating what he has said publicly (that if the Republicans won’t accept a PAA extension, then it will expire). But at the very start of his speech he named some of the people who had helped most on the FISA bill. McJoan (from DailyKos) and FDL’s own Christy were the first two people he mentioned.
